Welcome to First Coast German Studio! I am thrilled to partner with you on your language journey. Because these sessions are highly personalized and require dedicated preparation, please review our standard business guidelines below. By purchasing a coaching package or joining Der Kaffeekranz, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking, Rescheduling, & Expiration (1-on-1 Coaching)

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Your time is valuable, and so is mine. If you need to reschedule a 1-on-1 session, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions rescheduled or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be forfeited.

  • 6-Month Expiration: To keep your momentum going and ensure your learning is effective, all 1-on-1 coaching packages must be completed within 6 months of purchase. Language acquisition relies on consistency—extending packages past this point becomes counterproductive to your progress.

2. Der Kaffeekranz (Group Coaching)

  • Attendance & Make-up Sessions: Because Der Kaffeekranz is a live, interactive weekly group experience, missed sessions cannot be refunded or credited. In the event of a true, unforeseen personal emergency, please contact me directly, and we will do our best to find a compassionate solution.

  • Group Code of Conduct: Der Kaffeekranz is designed to be a safe, supportive, and joyful space. To keep the environment comfortable for everyone, all participants are expected to treat peers and the coach with kindness, patience, and respect. Disrespectful or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the group without a refund.

3. Local In-Person "Meetup Swaps"

For local clients in the Jacksonville First Coast area who select an in-person package format:

  • The Swap Limit: You may swap a maximum of 1 virtual session for an interactive, face-to-face meetup per coaching package.

  • Local Travel Radius: In-person sessions are held at selected local spots within a 12-mile radius of Northwest Jacksonville (comfortably covering areas like Riverside, Avondale, Downtown, and River City). In this case an additional $40 travel surcharge will be added to your package price.

  • Host Hospitality: As your host, your first coffee, tea, or beverage at our meeting spot is on me!

4. Refunds & Commitments

  • All Sales Are Final: Because slot availability is limited and extensive preparation goes into every curriculum, all sales are final once coaching or group sessions begin. No refunds will be issued for unused portions of a package after your first session has commenced.
